Bergen County Bus Rapid Transit Implementation Study Completed – Final Report Issued

NJ TRANSIT and the Bergen County Department of Planning & Engineering have issued a Final Report on their recently completed Bergen County Bus Rapid Transit Implementation Study. To define a vision for advanced transit service in Bergen County that keeps pace with the area’s growing transportation needs, the Study analyzed the viability and the best approach for introducing and providing bus rapid transit (BRT) service in Bergen County.

The Study’s Final Report recommends a preferred network of four routes as initial candidates for BRT service. These routes and BRT technologies are discussed in the Final Report and illustrated on the Map of the Preferred Network. A set of Appendices includes all of the technical information and analysis that went into the Study.
